Hi I'm Savanna Faucette

I grew up in small town Colorado were I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. I love the gospel!

About Me

My name is Savanna. I am currently preparing to leave on a mission to serve in the Las Vegas Nevada Mission. I just finished my freshman year of college at the University of Utah, and I hope to someday become a pediatric doctor. I love helping others. I also like to play sports, play the piano, and spend time with my awesome family.

Why I am a Mormon

Through out my life I have had ups and downs just as everyone does. Having grown up in the church I think I always took it for granted. I went to church because my mom and dad wanted me too, but I wasn't truly living as a member of the church should. My junior year of high school I had multiple trials come my way. I fell away from the church for a time and did not want anything to do with it. I could not understand why Heavenly Father would allow something like this to happen to me. I was thinking about it all wrong, and I know that now. For Christmas my mom gave me a picture with a poem in it. The name of the poem is A Bend In the Road. Christmas morning as I opened that picture all I could do was cry. I realized in that moment Heavenly Father loves me and because of that he has given me these trials to make me into the person he intended for me to become. I began to realize that the way I was living was bringing me nothing but misery, and so I began to change. I took care of the mistakes I had made and began saying my prayers and reading my scriptures. Since that moment my testimony had continued to grow. I know I will have my trials to come, but if I turn to my Heavenly Father he will be there to help me every step of the way. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us. Matter of a fact he loved us enough to send his only begotten son to suffer and die to enable us to return to live with him again someday. I am so grateful for my savior Jesus Christ, and the ability I have to return to my Heavenly Father because of him. I am grateful for the knowledge that I have that families can be together forever. I love the gospel, and I am so grateful to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings in my wards. My two most recent callings were helping with the missionary work and family history work that was done in my ward. I am also preparing to serve an 18 month mission in Las Vegas Nevada. I love the gospel and want everyone to experience the joy it offers. It is the greatest blessing in my life.
