Hi I'm Siera

I am currently serving as a missionary in Washington D.C. I love sunflowers, doodling & am never without a smile! :) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! :) I recently finished my freshman year of college & currently serving as a missionary in Washington D.C. I love to smile and strive to be a very happy person! I come from a big family with five wonderful siblings & look forward to being a mother someday. My siblings & parents are my best friends. I love sunshine and try to spend as much time as I can outdoors. I laugh often at myself and others & try my best to never have a bad day. I love performing random acts of kindness & strongly believe that happiness is a choice. I will forever choose to be happy! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know I am a child of God and because I know He loves me, I want to follow Him. I'm a Mormon because the gospel is all about LOVE. I'm a Mormon because it brings out the best of me. When I look to my perfect example, Jesus Christ, in order to become better I see I am more loving, caring, kind, and focus on others needs instead of my own. Loving and serving others gives me JOY. I'm a Mormon because I have received my own personal witness that the Book of Mormon is true and that the words written in it have power and from God. This gospel is a message of HOPE. I'm a Mormon because through my Savior I have hope and can try again and again and again, even when I have made mistakes. I'm a Mormon because I absolutely love and adore my family and want to be with them forever! This is possible because of the Plan of Happiness that our Heavenly Father has made for us. I'm a Mormon because I know this Church is true and it is what makes me HAPPY. :)

How I live my faith

Serving as a missionary has helped me grow in many ways & recognize that there are SO many good hearted, amazing people everywhere. DC is a melting pot & as I have met people from more countries than I can count my love for each of them has increased immensely! Although so many around me have different backgrounds, cultures & faiths the statement "I am a Child of God" rings true for each & every one of us here on earth. The contrast of the east coast against my childhood in Utah has definitely widened my perspective and helped me understand how central God's role plays in our life & that at the heart of everything in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is LOVE. I believe God is pure love, & the best way I know to live my faith is to live a life full of love. To love others, to love myself & most importantly love God and show that love by doing the things he has asked--knowing that it will in turn bring me true happiness in this life. I live my faith through service, obedience, smiling, & seeking answers through scripture reading & prayer. The gospel is apart of everything I do. How I treat others, how I find strength in hard circumstances, how I determine what path I need to take, & how I am a daughter of God who truly loves and wants to help me the best he can.
