Hi I'm Katelyn

Hello!! I am an avid adventurer, I am devoted to learning and growth, I am a humanitarian, and I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church, but have experienced my own personal conversion as I discovered our Heavenly Father's capacity for individual love. I am looking forward to sharing this discovery while serving a full time mission, but until then, I will be attending Brigham Young University. I am the oldest of eleven children (5 sisters, 5 brothers) and it's a party everyday! I love to be physically active! Dance, yoga, running, biking, soccer, basketball, gymnastics etc. Oh! and hiking! I love exploring nature and observing God's creations, especially the mountains. I crave travel and adventure, and one of my deepest passions is learning about people and their culture. I am a people person and strive to be actively involved in lifting others. I am a lifetime humanitarian.

Why I am a Mormon

While striving to come unto Christ, I have gained a deeper understanding of Christ's atoning sacrifice for me personally! It has been an incredible blessing to come to realize that the atonement not only covers serious sin and transgression, but even the smallest things like mistakes and things as simple as embarrassing moments. I have also learned for myself that through the atonement, my older brother, even Jesus Christ, is able to understand me perfectly. He knows ever joy, every pain. Every victory, every trial. Through it all I know I am never alone.

How I live my faith

I strive to find opportunities to serve. I have had the opportunity of strengthening spirits internationally through programs that sent me to Guatemala and Thailand. However, I was shocked by how much I, instead, was strengthened by those wonderful spirits! I learned incredible amounts from them and their loving, forgiving, thankful hearts, and will thank my Heavenly Father till the day I die for my priceless, unforgettable time in their presence. I love learning and am on a path of progression, trying everyday to be a little better.
