Hi I'm Sarah Burgoyne

I'm a student at BYU. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Tucson, Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent most of my life in Colorado, and am a student at Brigham Young University. Currently I am serving a full time mission in Tucson, Arizona. I love to run and be outdoors. Music is a huge part of my life. Not only do I love to sing but I also have played cello for about 9 years. I have two titanium rods in my back. I also love traveling and going on adventures. I even lived in France fro a few months when I was five. I also love doing silly and crazy things with my friends. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission and help others come unto Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the gospel brings endless peace and joy into my life as I strive to follow it. I know that the gospel is true because of the blessings I have seen in my life as I have strived to live righteously. I have seen God's hand in every aspect of my life. I have felt the Spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon as I have studied it. I know that it testifies of Christ. I have found answers to my questions and prayers in the scriptures. Without the gospel I don't know how I'd make it through the trials in my life. With faith in the gospel I have found direction when I am lost. I have felt the peace, because I know that through the atonement of Christ that I can repent, become clean, and heal from spiritual, physical, and emotional pains. I have also found hope in the knowledge that families are forever. I know that we have a true living prophet on the earth today because God's church is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I know that Joseph Smith saw God, the Father, and Jesus Christ. I know that through him the gospel was restored to the earth. I know that priesthood power has been restored to the earth, because I have seen it work in my life. This is why I am Mormon. This Gospel is the truth and the only way to find complete joy and peace in this life

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to completely dedicate a year and a half to the Lord. I am thrilled with the opportunity I have to share the gospel in Tucson, Arizona. Although I am terrified to have to go outside of my comfort zone and talk to people I don't know in a language I don't know very well, I know God will take care of me. I live faithfully by placing my life in his hands by putting my trust in the Savior and doing what my Heavenly Father asks of me. Even though I may not know what to say when teaching the gospel to others I know that as long as I am trying my best and living righteously the Holy Ghost will be with me guiding me to know what to say and teach. I just want to do God's will and serve my Savior, Jesus Christ.
