Hi I'm Dacen

I am a brother. I am a son. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a brother. I do things that brothers do. I have three younger brothers and no sisters. We play allot of tabletop games together like trivia games, card games, and board games. I like to be with my brothers and I try to help them through life as thier older brother. I also enjoy learning new things. I like hiking and camping. I love architecture and new innovations. I also really love serving others. I am a son of wonderful parents and it makes me happy to do those things that honor them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a Latter Day Saint or Mormon. My parents have always set a good example for me. They truly live their faith. But I still had to choose for myself to live and build my faith. This took a lot of work. The process of building and living my faith lasted over years over many moments of making small decisions that when added together created me. I continue to build and improve my living of my faith each day. One of these things I have done to build my faith is Study daily from the Book of Mormon. As I have studied with real intent, meaning I really wanted to find answers, I have come to know He truth by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the reality of Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I have come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly the restored church that Jesus Christ himself established nearly two thousand years ago. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. There is a prophet on the earth today, his name is Thomas S. Monson. You can come to know the truth of these things yourself, "just ask the missionaries they can help you."

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a mission. This means that I read my scriptures, go to church, and ultimately try to live like Jesus Christ exemplified. Sometimes I do not do these things at all or as well as I should so I have to change with the help of Jesus Christ. This is called repentance. I find that I best live my faith as I ask myself the question, what would Jesus do? The answer is almost always clear especially when the choice I am making is a significant one. When I do not do what Jesus would do I repent so that I can continue to progress in living my faith. Repentance is a wonderful, joyful thing. Repentance is simply changing through Jesus Christ to become more like Christ. In fact repentance is my faith and I know it works, because Jesus Christ conquered mistakes for me and everyone else including you. I have felt the love and power of Christ in my life as I have tried to please Him by following His perfect example. He has helped me to better myself and the past and He continues to now. I love Him.
