Hi I'm Deven

I am very family oriented, I love rugby and music. I make amazing grilled cheese sandwiches.

About Me

I am a rugby player. I have three siblings: a sister and two brothers. I enjoy watching old movies and playing guitar. I like to do things with my hands. I enjoy reading and writing. I plan on attending college when I return home from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have seen the truthfulness of the Gospel as I have lived it. I have seen the blessings and benefits that have come to my family and to those that I care about because I have chosen to keep the commandments and my covenants that I have made with my Heavenly Father. I have been privileged as a missionary to see the benefits of the Gospel of Jesus Christ manifest themselves as I have taught and helped people come closer to Jesus Christ. Most importantly, I am a Mormon because I have come to know, by the power of God, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church of God, that Joseph Smith was and is His prophet, and that God loves us. I know that God still calls prophets to lead and guide us today, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God just like the Bible. This knowledge has blessed me, and my family more than I can say.

How I live my faith

I have served in both my ward and my community in many ways. I have worked with both local and international service organizations to try and better the lives of those around me. I have served as an assistant to my bishop and have been the quorum president of the two other young men branches in my ward.
