Hi I'm Carol

I am a Floridian. The beach is heaven on earth to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Though I am a grandmother of five, I am also a college student working towards a college degree online. I love to learn, but I also love being outdoors biking, going to the beach, working in the yard and enjoying God's creations. I am retired now, but the best job I ever had was as a real estate photographer. What a fun job this was seeing the different homes and the people who live in them. Life is full of wonderful opportunities, we just have to look for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe this gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which was restored by Joseph Smith under the direction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because a family member (a cousin) shared with me these truths. I am a Mormon because this religion has changed my heart and left me with a desire to live my life as my Father in Heaven would like me to live. I am a Mormon because I know this is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that God lives, and Jesus is the Christ our Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be obedient to Heavenly Father's commandments as best I can, and by having a willingness to serve in His kingdom with whatever calling or opportunity that may lead me to. Some faith building callings I have enjoyed as a member of the church are: serving in the Young Women's program locally in our Ward and also in the Stake YW Presidency. I love watching the spiritual and temporal growth of these girls as they come into the program at the age of 12 and as they leave when they graduate from high school as young adults. It is quite phenomenal to see their spiritual growth and to embrace the knowledge that they are daughters of God. These youth learn how to lead by serving in class presidencies, teaching Sunday lessons, and trusting in the Lord that he will help them do all things they want to do. Through these experiences they can gain a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. I have learned these things right along with them, and have experienced the bond you feel with them by helping to guide them along their journey. Weekly activities, Sunday lessons, and going to Girl's Camp are just a few of the things we have done together. I have also had the opportunity to teach early morning seminary to youth ages 14 to 18, to be a temple worker, and to go on teaching appointments with the sister missionaries. There is no doubt that as I have served, I have learned how to do many things. The most rewarding benefit of all of these experiences, outside of the friendships I have made, is my testimony of Jesus Christ has grown to one that is firm and unshakable.
