Hi I'm Amy

I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, student and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of eight children. I grew up in the Salt Lake, Utah area where I loved school, spending time with family and friends, and being outside. My best friend is my older sister, Laura, who has challenges related to physical and communicative disabilities but never ceases to light up any room with her smile. I am studying to become a teacher, and I still love school. I hope to one day teach children with special needs where I can be surrounded by their inspiring spirits daily. I also hope to have an eternal family and be a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the truthfulness of this Gospel. I feel the Holy Ghost testifying to me, feelings of peace and comfort when I read the Book of Mormon. When I attend church meetings I feel the love of God and the love of the other people around me. I know that I can pray to Heavenly Father and he will answer my prayers. I know that I can be with my family forever. And for all that I have I am grateful to Heavenly Father, and for that reason I can only choose to follow His gospel and be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have participated in various "callings" in the church, from the time I was a youth and was able to serve as a group leader for other young women in my ward. This past year in my Young Single Adult ward I was part of a committee to help organize events after church to help get to know members of the ward, with food and activities. I also am a visiting teacher, one who visits other women in my ward monthly to share a message of Christ and create meaningful relationships.
