Hi I'm Efren Cadusali Taño

I served as full-time missionary in Philippines Quezon City Mission and I Return with Honor!

About Me

I am an independent child, hardworking, teachable, determined, committed, and dedicated person and have vision in life. I finished my study with my own support since I was in high school even in the university. I finished a degree of BS Industrial Engineering. And I was offered job opportunities a week before I will graduate, but I refused and make a priority to serve full time mission. I gave up my career and follow what the Lord wants me to do. I will go and do the things which the Lord commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto me, save he shall prepare a way for me that I may accomplish the thing which he commanded me [1 Nephi 3:7]. It's the hardest decision ever I made. "Sometimes it makes me to cry, when I heard members in my family murmur with my decision. But I strive to stand firm and relying upon the mercy and grace of God no matter what happen. For I know God will not forsake nor abandon me as I follow his will. I'm still serving in Philippines Quezon City Mission. And I don't have communication with my family. I pray unceasingly day and night and ask the Lord's guidance and strength to stand in firm of what I believe. It's the desire of my heart to obey the Lord's will to help building His kingdom on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I attend different church denominations services just to find the truth. I grew up as Catholic but I didn't fully understand their different practices. One day one my friend in UNI asked if l am willing to listen and to be taught by the missionaries in their church. I was undecided during that time. It took a week for me decide such invitation. I did pray to know whether I'll go and listen to the missionaries or not. I felt peace in my mind when I was praying, so, l went my friend to meet the missionaries. When the missionary taught The Message of the Restoration I was enlightened by the Spirit, and I learnt the need and importance of the living prophet and a need of restoration. I felt the spirit bears of the truthfulness of the gospel they taught. The missionary then asked if I am willing to be baptized when I received answer to my prayer.I said Yes I will! I let them set an appointment again for l want to learn more about their message. After the our meeting My friend asked me to read The Book of Mormon and I did, but I don't understand. So, I returned the book three times. I pondered the things which the missionaries taught me and I think about if this things are true then I may read again for the fourth time. In doing so I gradually learn about its truthfulness. When I receive the answer from my simple prayer, I said to the missionaries I know this things are true and I want to be baptize. I testify that if we exercise faith in Jesus Christ and humbly follow the will of the Lord, we will find the truth. I know that if you read the Book Of Mormon with real intent and ponder it in your heart and ask God he will manifest the truth by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God who restored the gospel. I know that the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints if true. I know that the priesthood authority is connected to heaven and it can make miracles. I know this things are true. I'm the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I was so grateful as member of the true Church. My faith grew as l accepted a calling to be Ward Clerk at the same time Ward Missionary. As I continue to magnify my callings it helps me became closer to our Heavenly Father. My Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ grow and became stronger and stronger. I strive to keep the commandments and follow the counsels of our church leaders and sustain them. I always read the scriptures and strive to apply every principles and doctrines. I continue to share my testimony through working with the missionary and even with my friend and serve as full time missionary in Philippines Quezon City Mission (June 2015 - June 2017).

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Efren Cadusali Taño
The Atonement of Jesus Christ makes us possible for us to have eternal life. Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, the savior atoned for our sins. We can’t fully understand how Jesus suffered for our sins. But we know that in the Garden of Gethsemane, the weight of our sins caused Him to feel such agony that He bled from every pore (Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-17) Later, as He hung upon the cross, Jesus again felt the weight of our sins even as He willingly suffered painful death by one of the most cruel methods ever known. Jesus the Christ, page 462 states, “It seems, that in addition to the fearful suffering incident to crucifixion, the agony of Gethsemane had recurred, intensified beyond human power to endure. In that bitterest hour the dying Christ was alone, alone in most terrible reality.” The Savior tells us: “For behold, I... have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer... even as I.” (Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-17) Jesus Christ did what only He could do in atoning for our sins. To make His Atonement fully effective in our individual lives, we must have faith in Christ, repent of our sins, be baptized and confirmed by one having authority, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, obey God’s commandments, receive sacred ordinances, and strive to become like Him. As we do these things through His Atonement, we can return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father forever. Show more Show less
