Hi I'm Megan

I'm a learner, a photo taker, a music lover, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, however I cant sing worth beans, so I have tried learning some instruments to make up for it. I currently play violin, banjo, and have plans to learn piano, and tons more. I love meeting and talking to new people. We have so much we can learn from the people around us! Someday I want to go to the moon, to look at earth from so far away, get a completely different perspective. I just got my mission call to Columbus Ohio, so my plans of space travel will have to wait a bit. I take a camera with me everywhere I go, I don't want to miss something awesome...though I have enough pictures of just clouds and sunsets to fill calendars for the rest of my life. I am the oldest of a large family, and even though its usually crazy at my house, I love my family, and wouldn't trade them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church every week with my family, but it wasn't until my family stopped going, that I really understood why I was Mormon. When I didn't have anymore dragging me to church, I stopped going also. All the sudden I was in 'inactive girl', a position I NEVER imagined I would be in. I felt like a project to the other girls in my ward, who I had considered friends, but now only talked to me when they were trying to get me to church. I realized that so much of my reason for going to church before was people, and now my reason for not going was people. I decided to REALLY read the book of Mormon, and study it, and really find my own testimony, a testimony based on gospel truths, and not social interactions. As I started going back to church, reading, and praying consistently I felt my testimony growing. I felt the spirit confirming that was I was doing was right. I found answers to my prayers through little things that I hadn't bothered to notice before, and I was happier.

How I live my faith

I live by faith by trying to be a positive example to those around me. I have been a leader in my youth groups, I've been on planning committees, and asked to aid in family history work. I am leaving this summer to serve a mission, where I hope to be a good example, and share the happiness that I have found in this gospel.
