Hi I'm Hailey

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the England London Mission, and I LOVE it!

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for my entire life. I have come to know the Savior personally and hope to reach out to all who desire to do the same. I enjoy playing the piano, listening to music, writing stories, ballroom dancing, and spend every chance I can outdoors. I recently finished up my first year of college.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the teachings of the gospel. We are taught about the importance of families, service, baptism by immersion, the Book of Mormon, and the Restoration of the Gospel. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know they love each and every one of us, and desire for us to live up to our full potential in this world and in the world to come. We believe in repentance. If we have done something wrong, we can be forgiven. I love this gospel! It is my hope for all to find joy in learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

After praying a lot about whether or not I should serve a mission, I received the answer that I was to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This decision was not an easy one for me to make. As a missionary, we are required to spend 18 months in total church service to wherever we are assigned. Contact with our family and friends is very limited. We are only allowed to email family and friends one time out of the week so that we can dedicate our hearts to serving The Lord. It took much faith for me to finally decide to serve, but I love the Savior and my Heavenly Father, and I want others to feel of that same happiness that we as members experience. God loves us all! By reading the Book of Mormon and searching for answers to questions, we can more fully come to know of the power that we receive with God on our side. The scriptures provide comfort and strength to us all in times of trial and hardships, as well as in times of peace and joy. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to return back to live with them again after we leave this earth. It is by baptism and enduring to the end that we can accomplish this. As Mormons, we understand that baptism is essential to enter into God's presence. We hope for all to experience this desire as they search the scriptures and sincerely pray to receive answers to any questions they may have. We believe in helping ALL come unto Christ. As women of the church, we have the responsibility of "visiting teaching". This means that we visit other women at least once a month to make sure they are doing okay and offer help when they need it. Men have a responsibility similar to this. We call this "home teaching". Men visit households to ensure that everyone is taken care of, and also offer their assistance. Families are central to God's plan. He desires for us to show faith in Him so that we may return to live with Him after this life.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Hailey
The family is central to God's plan. We believe that families can be together forever when they are sealed in the Lord's Holy Temple. When we leave this life, we can still be with our families in the life hereafter. Show more Show less
