Hi I'm Donovan

I grew up in a LDS home in Utah. I am preparing to serve a full time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I usually spend most of my day in school. I love learning and decided I would attend some early college while I was still in high school. I just graduated with my high school diploma and an Associate degree. I also love music and have learned how to play a couple instruments. I enjoy all forms of media including TV, movies, books, and the internet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of the teachings and standards they follow. I love the person I become by following the teachings of Christ. The spirit that comes to my life brings me peace and happiness I have never found in any other way. I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the repentance and grace I receive from it.

How I live my faith

I am currently the First Assistant in my age group. I often set up for youth activities and strive to serve the youth. I represent my age group in planning meetings and try to support activities that all youth will enjoy.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons do believe in the Holy Bible. We believe it is inspired writing, the words of God delivered through his prophets as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. As such, we study the words written in the Bible and follow the principles contained within that sacred book. We also believe that there are other sacred scriptures which were written also by prophets that were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. We believe that all these scripture are important and all support and explain the Bible. The most well know of these other scriptures is the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
