Hi I'm Keanna Castañeda

I was from a small town in Colorado. Ask me to snowboard, rock climb, or be outside and i will say yes. Serving in T.H.E mission.

About Me

I am just your average 19 year old, really. I have four brothers and one older sister. I have gone to college for the past two years; pursuing a career in dental hygiene. I go outside everyday whether it is to play a game of volleyball or hike to the top of the world (more like to the top of a hill ;) ). I try to be musical, but as far as I have gotten is singing in the shower hoping no one is home to hear. Oh, and my motto in life is "My choices are my own. Therefore I will choose to smile and be HAPPY!"

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it truly makes me happy. I have lived a life where church was nonexistent and knowledge was far too short. I have felt what it is like to be hurt, confused, or even lost. In the midst of all the confusion the church and the gospel were ALWAYS consistent. It wasn't until I decided on my own that in order to hold a family together, keep enduring to the end, and have that happiness everyday, I would have to remain faithful and I soon developed a passion of learning more about the Book of Mormon and its teachings. My prayers were answered and I knew the Book of Mormon was true when I started reading it.Everything about this gospel and being Mormon feels right. Being with my family forever is the most amazing gift. And returning to live with my Father in Heaven is not even a question, its an everyday goal that I am working towards.

How I live my faith

I live my faith like I live my life... One day at a time. Every time I pray or read my scriptures, my faith in our loving Heavenly Father grows stronger. I have gained that faith through my own experiences and my own answers. I love knowing that I always have a Father in Heaven to go to because He proves day after day that He will be there. I will be a missionary in Texas starting June 10th and I can't wait to share how I live my faith and learn how others live theirs.
