Hi I'm Sam Hyer

I love the outdoors. I played Division 3 College Lacrosse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and have spent all my life doing fun things outside. I love to mountain bike, swim, rock climb, ski, run, play lacrosse, play ultimate frisbee, and garden. I competed in swimming on a High School team. I love to read and sometimes write a couple of little stories along the way. I love to throw pottery on the wheel (even though I am not very good at it).I have finished a year of college at Southern Virginia University and played College Lacrosse while I was there.

Why I am a Mormon

There is real, undeniable truth in this Gospel. Every moment I spend following the teachings of Christ brings me true happiness and purpose I can't find anywhere else. There is a kind of peace of mind knowing that I have eternal potential and that my life has meaning after I die. I take great comfort in knowing that I will see my loved ones again after they die. I know that the Savior lives and that he loves all of us and wants us to be happy. I have seen his guiding hand in my life as I prepare to serve a mission for my church. He is real and His way is the only way to lasting happiness in this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by small and simple means. I do my best to care for others the way that our Savior would if he were on the Earth today. I visit with people and listen to what hey have to say. I volunteer where I can in the community. I just treat everyone like they are the most important thing in my life because we all need to feel that kind of love some times.
