Hi I'm Sarah

I love to sing, play flute, oboe, and piano. I love working with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old daughter, sister, and missionary. I have been musical for about 10 years now between piano lessons, playing flute, oboe, and singing. Along with my musical passion, I also have a passion for working with kids. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and I worked at a preschool as an assistant teacher prior to going on my mission. I'm not quite sure what I want my career to be, but I have thought about being a music therapist and working with special needs kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life, however I too have had my own personal confirmation through the Holy Spirit that Joseph Smith restored the same church that Jesus set up while he was on this earth through the power of God the father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that God loves all of his children. I know that the Book of Mormon (another testament of Jesus Christ comparable to the Bible) is true scripture from God, and was translated by the power of God through Joseph Smith the prophet. I know that we have a living prophet (Thomas S. Monson) on the earth today because God loves his children and will provide them/us a way to receive revelation through a prophet always. I know that personal prayer is very powerful and that He answers and gives us personal revelation. I continue to follow Jesus Christ in this gospel because I know it is true and because nothing but blessings, joy, peace, and happiness has come from being a member of His true and restored gospel upon this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing something daily to grow my relationship with my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I often ponder the principles I already know, such as the atonement and scripture study, and think about how I can better apply them to my daily life. Before my mission, I did what I could to serve my Heavenly Fathers children. I would help clean the church building on a Saturday, or go to the temple and perform ordinances such as baptism for those who have passed on. I also have served the members of my congregation by being the ward chorister, ward choir director, and primary teacher (teaching the children), to now being a missionary. As a missionary, I serve the Lord by sharing his gospel to His children by inviting them to come unto Christ as well as providing any service to them that they might need.
