Hi I'm Angela Pett

I'm an aunt. I'm an artist. I believe in never giving up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to draw. I can draw animated characters, but I usually draw actual people. When I'm not serving the Lord as a full-time missionary, I draw my own comic books. I also love to make others happy! One way that I have used my talent to help others is that I like to draw people and write a message to them! Nothing works faster to turn a frown upside down than service! I'm also an aunt. I have two sisters, one of them is married and has 8 kids (3 boys and 5 girls)! It sounds like a lot, but I can't imagine life without a single one of them! I happen to be really close to their age too so they are practically like my brothers and sisters!

Why I am a Mormon

While serving my mission, I had an experience that I think really changed what I had thought what it meant to be a dedicated disciple of Christ. Leaving home was a hard thing for me. Family means everything to me, so it was hard to leave them behind. But I knew that God had called me and I packed my bags. While I was preparing to leave, I was feeling nervous. I had never left home before. Over and over again people told me how hard it was to serve a mission. I knew I would have to face a lot of rejection and hard times. I wouldn't be able to call my family except for on Christmas and Mother's Day. I would be with strangers and far away from home. At that moment I had decided that no matter what, I would see the mission through to the end. That no matter what happened, I wouldn't give up! No matter how hard it would be, I would keep going! I had been serving as a missionary for about four months when I received a phone call. I was told that my father had unexpectedly passed away the night before. I felt as though the ground beneath my feet had crumbled. I was crushed. I didn't expect this to happen. I was in complete shock. Right away I had thoughts of going home. I wasn't forced to be there, if I said that I wanted to go home, they would let me go home. But then I remembered what I had decided four months before. After much prayer, I decided to stay. Sometimes, it gets hard to keep going. And sometimes I think it would be easier if I just gave up. And when I do, I just try to remember that I am not alone. One of my favorite scriptures is in the Bible its Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I have a Savior who loves me. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me too. And I know that someday, I will see my father again.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in California. Serving a full-time mission just means that I have, by my own choice, decided to dedicate 18-24 months solely to the Lord and serving people. Our purpose as missionaries is to invite others to come unto Christ.
