Hi I'm Tiffany

I grew up in the state of Oregon with my three brothers and parents. I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My biggest dreams have been to graduate college, be a teacher, travel the world, and have a family of my own. I graduated with my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education in 2005 and taught elementary school for four years. I love to teach! It is one of my absolute greatest passions. However, after four years, I began to recognize the influence I wanted to have on my students may be best met as a counselor. Because of this insight, I returned to college. I am currently studying to become a licensed professional counselor and work with children and their families. From my point of view, it is simply a different approach to teaching! Last year, my dream of traveling to Italy came true. I never actually believed I would ever go! The time never seemed right, and, in actuality, the time I chose to go still didn't seem like the perfect time, but I went, and I do not regret that decision! I have learned that sometimes you move forward and just make a dream happen because life rarely presents perfect opportunities to fulfill our dreams. And, I am still working toward the realization of my other dream of having a family of my own, but that is something I definitely don't want to mess up! It's worth taking the time to make sure it is with who I want it to be with :) In the meantime, I am fulfilling all of my other little dreams like skydiving, taking a cooking class, and the list goes on!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its teachings make sense and life has proven these teachings to be accurate. I have witnessed miracles in my life because of living the gospel, miracles that have become more precious to me than anything the world could possibly offer me. I am a Mormon because of the peace it brings into my life. It's a peace I believe few others really have the opportunity to experience, at least as far as I can tell in my associations with others. I am a Mormon because the gospel is very much imprinted on my heart; it is something I hold absolutely dear in my life. I am a Mormon because I have felt the atonement in my life and presence of God nearer to me through living its principles.

How I live my faith

My faith is core to who and what I am. It has incorporated itself into every dimension of my life. However, it has been invited to do so. Goodness...how do I live my faith? That question makes it seem like my faith is an extension of me, like it is something I do, rather than who I am. My faith is a foundation of true principles like loving others, forgiveness, genuine kindness, accepting the Lord's will, and the list goes on. Yes, I spend time fulfilling my assigned responsibilities in the church, but my faith is not found within the walls of a building or an assignment. It really is an integral part of who I am. I love my faith and I have been willing to make difficult sacrifices to ensure it remains a core part of my life. Words cannot express the depth of the meaning of the gospel in my life.
