Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a college student living in Utah. I absolutely love working with people with special needs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm pretty much your average, run-of-the-mill college student. I'm going to school full-time, living off of microwavable food, living on campus, working at a drive thru, and pursuing a degree in special education. Working with people with special needs is pretty much what I live for. In junior high and high school I always ate lunch with the special needs students. After I graduated I worked at a day center for people with special needs, and its what I want to spend the rest of my life doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of how it makes me feel. We are taught that every single person is a child of God, that we are loved by Him, and that He has an interest in what is going on in our lives and a concern for our happiness and well-being. Believing this, living by this, has had an incredible impact on my life and who I am. All of the questions I might have about who I am, what life is all about, and what is most important is answered by this church, and they are answered in a beautiful and incredible way that brings me so much happiness. Simply knowing that there is a God out there who knows and loves simple little me, and feeling that is true so strongly as I attend church, pray, etc. is the reason I am happy and love life. The most important thing for me when trying to figure out whether or not I believed this church contained the truth was reading the Book of Mormon and praying. Going to the temple has also had a big impact on my belief. It's hard to describe the feeling of receiving a confirmation that something is right, but as I prayed and sought to know for myself, I was filled with peace. Deep down inside, it clicked, and I could feel that God really did know me and my life. All the things I am taught in church fill me with these same types of feelings, and I know that they come from a loving Father in Heaven and are an indication of truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best ever day to treat people like I know God would want them to be treated. I know that everyone, no matter who they are or where they are in life, are incredibly important to and loved by God. I want people, when they are around me, to feel like they matter. It's also very important to me to do what God has asked, to be obedient, to do things like forgiving, praying daily, attending church, and trying to live a clean life. I know that the purpose of these things is to bless our lives, and in doing them I find great joy, peace, and confidence.
