Hi I'm Nancy

I was born in El Salvador, moved to Reno, then to Salt Lake. I am a convert. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Soccer is my favorite sport, Liverpool is my favorite team. I paint, draw, carve, etc. but my favorite form of art is Ceramics. I am a receptionist at a counseling center currently saving up for both mission and college.

Why I am a Mormon

I made the decision to be baptized when I was 14 years old and it was the best decision I have ever made. There is always a transition period for lifestyle changes, but there really is a different feeling that you have when you know how much you matter and how much others matter as well. Being part of the church has made me see the world in a different way, and it gives me hope. All we ever hear about in the media is how this world is getting worse, but all I see are opportunities to grow, and to help others grow as well. The church focuses on things that strengthen, not destroy. I now feel a constant light around me, even in the dimmest of situations. I would have to say that the best part is hope for the future. Not just in this life, but the next life as well. This part of our lives is an important one, but it really is not even close to being all there is.

How I live my faith

I am the second counselor in our branch's young women program. I help organize activities that teach the girls how to keep their minds on our Heavenly Father and how they can help others do the same. I very much enjoy my calling and getting to spend time with the young women of the community and getting to watch them grow and mature is a constant reminder of how lovely it is to have the knowledge that we do. I get the opportunity to teach messages that are very dear to my heart and I adore all of the girls as my younger sisters.
