Hi I'm Quinn

I grew up in 3 different families. I love serving others. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I came from a divorced family and had the blessing of living with two other foster families. I did not have much support growing up and worked since middle school. Currently I am in college, which is paid for through scholarships. I also play collegiate Ultimate Frisbee and enjoy everything about the sport. I am putting my scholarships, Ultimate Frisbee, and my work on hold for two years to serve a mission for the LDS church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized Catholic as a child. When I was 10 years old I lived with a foster family in Utah, who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I could notice something different about their family, and in my friends and their families. A good thing. When I attended church I also felt comfort and I loved the focus on family. I wanted to know more about the church so I took Seminary for four years in high-school. I loved being around my friends who where LDS, they loved me and instantly took me in, even if I was not a member of their faith. I wanted to learn why they were so happy, and I wanted to know if the church was true for myself. So I fasted, prayed, and read the Book of Mormon. I felt warm, and good. But my Dad, who had custody of me still, would not allow me to be baptized. I read the Book of Mormon, and underlined every Reference to Jesus Christ and wrote down my feelings in the margins. I knew when I finished, that this was the true word of God. I knew it would bring me closer to Christ. Because of this, I also knew that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore his true Gospel to the earth. I took the discussions on my 18th birthday. Then everything went terrible. My Family was not going to support me any more, I did not know how to pay for college, and I lost the relationship I tried to build for years with my Dad. But I had faith in Jesus Christ, and got baptized the next month. Then the blessings came. I was blessed with a full ride scholarship for college. My biological family now supports me going on a mission and our relationship has never been better. It is a blessing to me

How I live my faith

I served as a leader among the men in my ward. I had the opportunity to call others to leadership positions, and personally check up on the men in the ward to see how I could better help them come unto Christ and how they could look over others through home teaching. I am now a missionary and my main purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by following the gospel that Christ has given us. I also love when I get to do service, and show my love and appreciation to those around me.
