Hi I'm Ethan Sherman

I'm a viola performance major at BYU. I am lucky enough to be able to go serve the people of Kobe Japan on my mission.

About Me

I love music. It is my whole life. I have always found that there is a special peace that comes through music. I am currently studying viola performance. I also enjoy being outdoors with my friends. The mountains are my second home. I love to ski, hike, rock climb, fish, and just hang out. I also love making friends with people from all over some of my best experiences have been leaving home for a couple months to live with complete strangers to study music at Interlochen Arts Camp and Meadowmount School of music. I have been amazed by how much I can learn from people of other beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am always greatful that I was raised in a Mormon home. The examples set my by my mom and dad have always motivated me to be a better person. My two older brothers have also been huge influences in my life. They have served full time misssions and shared their wisdom and expiriendpce with me. I think the biggest reason why I am a Mormon is because of the Book of Mormon. It is true. Joseph Smith really did translate it. If anyone wants to know if the church is true, all they have to do is read the Book of Mormon and live its teachings. The spirit will bear witness that it is true. Christ is my savior and redeemer and he knows each of our pains and struggles and can help us overcome anything with his love.

How I live my faith

I try to live everyday better than the last. Being a member of this church has really helped motivate the way I communicate and interact with people. I try hard to treat everyone like Christ would even when it is hard. Every Sunday I attend church and every day I try to study the gospel to help me live the life I want to. The gospel brings a peace in to my life. I also live my faith by providing service for those around me.
