Hi I'm Ryan Trujillo

I"m a Mormon living in the United States. I am serving a mission in Nashville, Tennessee, speaking Spanish.

About Me

I am currently a senior in high school. I love pretty much all my classes this year, my favorite of which (besides Seminary, of course) is either my Web Design class or my Spanish class. I think my least favorite subject is probably English, but that's mostly because I'm comparatively bad at it. Some of my hobbies include computing, gaming, swimming, reading, and being with friends. I also like to exercise (although I cannot spell the word) and stay fit. I was born with Congenital Glaucoma, which summed up basically means that when I was young my eyes kind of exploded almost. I know that's a bad summary, I'm sure you could find a video on the internet or something. Anyways, this has been somewhat of a challenge for me, having to adapt in school and other areas of my life. However, I do not view this as a disability, but as a blessing. I believe that the Lord has given me this trial so that I can better understand patience and hard work. I will probably be going to college after my mission, and I'll be studying either Psychology or Child Education, or both. I don't really know yet. Anyways, yes. That's me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the LDS Church, but don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean that i am just blindly following my parents to Church every week. i have come to find my own Testimony over the years, due to many experiences where the Lord has helped me through things, answered my prayers, and shown me His love. I cannot express in words how much I love Jesus Christ and the prophet Joseph Smith. Trust me, I've tried many times. I think that this gospel is so great, because of the fact it gives us the opportunity to be the best that we can be. "The Plan of Happiness" is such a perfect name for the wonderful idea that the Lord has for us all. I also know that God gives revelation to modern prophets. I know that our Church leaders were called by, and are spoken to by God. I fully sustain and love every single one of them. I am a Mormon because I love the peace and love that comes from knowing this gospel. The fact that we can all be together with our families and that we have a loving Father in Heaven is just amazing to me. I love this gospel, I know it's true. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ, and I know this is His true Church.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am a Priest in my ward, and I will probably be getting the Melchizedek Priesthood by the end of this month and become an Elder. I currently have no callings, other than a home teacher, but I have been in like, tons of presidencies throughout my life. I currently home teach 2 families, both are very wonderful, and I can't have asked for a better companion. He's a Life Flight pilot and is easily one of my heroes. I love to go to Seminary and Church. The spirit you can feel there is incredible, and I love it. I love mutual because it gives me a chance to hang out with my buddies away from all the craziness of school. I think that wards in the Church are great. They offer a kind of family to people. I have so many friends that I would probably not have made if I wasn't a member of my ward. Our Priest Quorum is like a brotherhood, and we have all become great friends over the years.
