Hi I'm Brian

I am from Shawnee, Kansas. I one day hope to work for a government agency to help increase the safety of my country. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and just finished by freshman year at college. I currently don't know what I want to study for sure, but I hope that my educational path will lead to career opportunities in the government. I love the fine arts, especially classical music, and have played the piano for many years. I also enjoy basketball and love playing pickup games in my free time. Additionally, I am fairly social and have many good friends that I spend a lot of time with. I have two older brothers; one is 22 and the other 34 and has a family of his own. My family is very close and we try to spend a lot of time bowling, watching sports events, and sharing in other fun activities when we have a chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I have faith that He lived, died, and lives again for all of us. I have had special spiritual feelings and experiences that have given me a conviction of the truths taught in the Mormon church. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Christ and that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the Book of Mormon in order to help in the restoration process. I know that this is Christ's church that His love is felt in its meetings, principles, and teachings. I know that God lives and loves all of us because we are His children. When we need help we need only to turn to God and while sometimes it may seem He has forgotten us, He will always guide our lives for the better if we let Him. I know that through following the teachings of Christ, we can return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father again. I love the Gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which is the Gospel of Christ, and am so grateful to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

At church, I help with organizing important religious ordinances and oftentimes take part in helping others take part in those ordinances as well. I also try to participate in service projects at church and in the community. I also go to visit certain members at church with a friend every month to share a spiritual message and make sure they're doing okay. Currently I am serving a two year mission to Warsaw, Poland so that I may share the happiness I've received from my faith with others.
