Hi I'm Sarah Hansen

I grew up in Parker Colorado, I am a musician, I am the sister of 8 siblings, I am a pharmacy technician, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family gal. I have six sisters, and two brothers, and boy, do we have fun! My parents are the absolute best, and I love my family SO much! They are one of my greatest blessings. I love music! As a music education major, I have always played a lot of instruments and I've always loved to sing! I am a student, and learning new things is something I really enjoy. I am a Pharmacy Technician, and I teach dance. I enjoy being outside in the sun, and just having fun. I love 60's music more than the average person, and I love to spend time with family and friends. Most of all, I love life! I love being a Mormon, and I can't wait to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism is more than just a religion to me. It is a way of life.I once heard someone say "My religion is not weight. It is wings!" I believe my life would be very different if I was not a member of the church. I was born in Utah while my mom was attending college as a vocal performance major. My Mom and Dad had four children, and I had the opportunity of being the oldest. When I was eight years old, shortly after I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my parents got divorced. It was hard to see my father leave our family, and we went through some very hard things, but we happy. We had the gospel. We knew we could get through anything with Jesus Christ on our side. The way the Lord was preparing us for what was to come, was such a blessing. My mom met a man who's wife had passed away from cancer, and he had five children. My mom got married to him and he became my new dad. I am now in a family of nine kids, and I moved to Colorado because that is where my new Dad lived. I lived in Colorado for seven years, and as one of the few members we had in school there, there were many times I stood alone in my beliefs. Sometimes it was hard for me, but I wouldn't trade any of the experiences I had through high school for anything. I will always stick up for what's right, even when I am alone.I will always stand for Jesus Christ. I will be leaving to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in just a few short weeks, and I've never been more excited for anything in my whole life! I am consistently reminded of the love the Savior has for me because of the joy I feel while being apart of this amazing gospel. There is no greater joy than that of which we can feel because of the knowledge of the atonement and how it can impact, and change each and every one of us for the better.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I serve as the choir director. It is the best calling ever! I feel like the Lord has blessed me with giving me this calling, because it makes me feel like I can help the ward in some way. It also helps me because music can bring the spirit of Christ into my heart in a way that words cannot. I also serve as a Visiting Teaching supervisor in my ward, which helps me keep in contact with the women in the ward, and also keeps me updated so I can see how they are once a month!
