Hi I'm Jara

I'm a Filipina. I'm a registered nurse, and planning to be a pediatric nurse in the future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the eldest daughter in my family. I have a sister and a half brother whom I love dearly. My parents are both Filipinos and they are simply the best. I am a simple lady with a tremendous outlook in life. I finished school when I was 20, and now a registered nurse in the Philippines. I do really enjoy helping out those who are in need, especially the little ones. I love playing the piano and listening to good music. I just cannot explain how music brings vibrance in our daily lives. Well, just like the other young single adults, I love reading blogs especially those beautiful people that experienced a great trial of faith but still remained steadfast and immovable. And as for now, I am preparing and looking forward with great excitement to what the future brings to me, to what the Lord has prepared for me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converted in the Church when I was 3. And I continued to follow His gospel for I have witnessed how the gospel changed so many lives, including mine. The Gospel brought happiness to my family. And our membership in the Church is one of the greatest blessing I ever had. We may have experienced hardships just like other families, but with the Gospel, these challenges brought us closer to each other and closer to our Father in Heaven. The Lord loves us more than we could comprehend. He wanted us to return with Him, and live with Him. With our consistent obedience, we will be prepared to meet Him. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon contains the answers in this life. I know that if we will read and pray for these books, with a real intent, the Lord will assure us of its truthfulness. I know this Church to be true.

How I live my faith

I am the Young Single Adult Representative in our ward and a youth teacher. I love my church callings. As a YSA representative, I have the responsibility to check on the YSAs of our ward, which is quite challenging. But I do love the singlet adults as well as the youth. I have seen how beautiful they are inside and out. They have great potential in them that will show the world that they are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. On July, I will be serving on a full-time mission. Since I was kid, I already had the desire to be the Lord's representative and invite others to come unto Him.
