Hi I'm Jahzeel

I'm a Filipino. I live in the Philippines. I grew up in the Church. I'm a college graduate and now soon to go on a mission.

About Me

I love spending my time with my family, especially with my mother, watching movies and TV shows, doing household chores, and talking about their past life. I love socializing especially through Facebook. I love to play volleyball and I would love to practice more with this sport. I love playing with kids. I'm 21 years old now and single and a college graduate and soon to be a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. I am grateful of that. I am grateful that my parents train me the way the Church wants to, with the Church's gospel's tradition. Because of that, I have no reason to doubt my religion. Growing in the Church is really great especially if in every stages you participate and understands what the teachers want you to instruct. It doesn't matter if you grew or not in the Church, what matters is that if you understand the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Like what the Church leader said, "The study of the doctrine of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than the study of behavior will improve behavior.". As you understand the doctrines of the gospel, you will know know what is being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm the secretary of our Stake's Young Women Organization. It's my privilege to help in our presidency. I'm learning while helping them and in doing my calling. I'm really striving to do my part in which in return gives back blessings. Visiting teaching helps my humanity as well as working with the full-time missionaries. Visiting them help me realize that my problems are not that big and life has so much to tell than what you are worrying. My calling is with the youth. Interacting with them helps me learn more about the gospel. Events and programs in the Church are really for our growth.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is essential for our happiness. It is part of God's plan for our salvation and to show His love for us. It's effect is infinite. Without the Atonement, the law of Moses will still be in effect in which all men may perish. But because of His Atonement we have the chance to repent and make a new life leaving that sin. We can exercise our agency to do good. We will never feel guilty for our past transgressions because of Christ who died for our sins. But it will only be effective if we are sincere repentant and have faith in Him and His Atonement. Because of His Atonement we can be cleansed and be worthy to enter to His kingdom and go back into His presence. Only Jesus Christ is fitted to represent our sins and die on the cross.
