Hi I'm Shauna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, a step-mom, and a grandma. I have been an emergency room nurse for over 40 years. I have 7 children and 12 grandchildren. I enjoy going to the mountains and golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the principles of the Mormon church. I know it is God's restored gospel here upon the Earth. I believe that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I believe in the Book of Mormon and in modern day prophets. I have grown up Mormon, but I have prayed for a personal testimony and through personal revelation have had a witness to its truthfulness. I have found the gospel to be my personal path to happiness. I have continued to pray for personal guidance from my Father in Heaven. I tust Him and His answers have always led me to the gospel. I believe that Jesus Christ is my personal savior. He knows me by name and when I follow the teachings of the Mormon Church I am happy and at peace.

How I live my faith

I have been serving as a missionary in The Addiction Recovery Program for almost 14 years. My husband and I serve together by facilitating 12 step meetings in our community and the local jails and prison. We also hold meetings in our church houses. We assist those who are suffering with addictions to drugs, alcohol, over eating, gambling, and pornography. We also help with meetings for family members and friends of addicts. This has been a very rewarding experience for me. In a few months I will be going to serve as a nurse specialist in New Zealand for 18 months.
