Hi I'm Parker

I am a son, brother, grandson, and friend. I am a seeker of truth and happiness. I am a soon to be missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a has been high school athlete who still loves wrestling and football, along with any sport that can be played by getting a group of friends together. I come from a family of two stellar parents and four other siblings. Hard work and dedication in both school and sports has brought me many blessings, but what I loved about my parents has been the focus on just how weak I am. From a young age I've come to depend on Jesus Christ and his grace and mercy. I've learned that because of him, I can do many great things, and when He is in my life, it is just that much sweeter. It is because of Him that I have chosen to suspend my education at Brigham Young University and serve the people of Paraguay for a two year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

A lot of people think I'm Mormon because that's the way I've been raised and grown up my whole life. To them I'd say that they are wrong. I am Mormon because I have sought it out on my own and come to my own understanding. I have ready the scriptures and studied them, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and have done the tests that they ask of us to do to see if the words are true. I have prayed to God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ and have felt feelings like no other I have ever felt, knowing that it was the Holy Ghost, confirming to me, that this Church was true. Above all, I look at all the good this church has been doing, and continues to do. The good feeling and beauty that this church provides is not a coincidence, but a validation of the truth that is within it. It brings a feeling of joy and peace that no one can know, criticize, or talk about, until they too have felt it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in Church and church activities. We have all been commanded by Christ to follow certain principles. Of those, the two great ones are, Love the Lord our God, and love your neighbor, or those around you. I do this by Studying scripture and coming to know Christ better, so I can better understand and follow him. When I study I learn how I should act in certain situation and learn of things I need to do or refrain from doing. When I do those things, I show love for my Savior and appreciation for the things that he has done for me. I show love for my neighbors and those around me by being friendly, and helping whenever and can with whatever is needed. I also try to find local activities where I can be of service, and help bring happiness to those around me, whether that be coaching little kids, working at distribution centers, or cleaning the city.
