Hi I'm Jaycie

I love performing arts and communications. I'm about to embark on a mission to Russia. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah. I have an older sister and two younger brothers. One of my brothers has autism along with many other mental health problems. We are all very close and spend much time doing things together. I love theatre, playing guitar, piano and singing. I also love trying new things especially with my friends and family. I love going to college and I am working on a major in Communication and a minor in Theatre. I am soon leaving on a mission to Russia, where I will serve the Lord for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion has come over time as I have grown. I was baptized when I was eight years old, but didn't truly understand what it meant to be a member until I was about eleven. I started to understand choices and choosing between good and evil. My mind was opened to how easy it is to make mistakes, but also how rewarding it is to choose the right and how much happier you feel when you do. As I have gotten older I have come to a realization. I know that this church is true, I have felt the Spirit as I have done what is right. I know that the doctrine we learn brings about a more lasting happiness. I know that when we think less about ourselves and more about others, we can forget about our own troubles and find peace. Not only does the gospel bring happiness and guidance, but also the opportunity to be with our family for all eternity. This is such a marvelous blessing. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I'm willing to leave my family and all I know, to share this truth with the world. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for restoring this gospel to this earth and I can't wait to share what I know with others.

How I live my faith

I was fortunate to grow up in the LDS Church. As a member of the church we receive callings to serve the Lord in a variety of ways. When I was thirteen years old, I was able to help be a leader in the LDS Young Women youth group. I continued to be involved with the youth program until I was in High School. I have been able to visit other women and make sure that they were doing good as well as serve them. I was called for a time to teach women in the church about the gospel. One of my favorite callings for the church was when I was called to serve others in my area who were in need of help. My newest calling is to serve the Lord for 18 months as a missionary in Samara Russia.
