Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a singer, a tuba player, and the oldest of 5 children. I'm a quadrocopter hobbyist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving in the Japan mission. I'm from a small town in Montana and so I've always loved all things outdoor like mountain biking, camping, and hiking but one of my favorite things to do go take out my drone and get aerial footage. Nature shots such as waterfalls and mountain ranges are the best! I want to attend college when I return home but for what I'm not really sure. I'm so excited to go about life and see what the Lord has in store for me. I feel so blessed to be the oldest of my siblings and that I get to be their first example of the blessings of serving a mission. I feel the pressure of being the example but I feel confident that with the Lords help I can be a righteous example. I have always enjoyed others company and love to sit and listen to peoples life experiences and stories. I hope to be a great story teller one day. (Maybe my mission will help me with that :) ) I have a great desire to learn and love the mysteries of life. Simply sitting and observing the marvels of nature is a wonderful past-time to me. I volunteer at my local wildlife reserve for wildlife observation surveys as a result of this.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints today because through my own personal reading of the scriptures and the Book of Mormon I have received a confirmation of the truth of the gospel which I could never deny. I have been able to see through the lives of my parents and friends the comfort and safety that living the gospel standards brings to an individual and to a family. I know the Jesus Christ came to the earth and that he loves me and has a specific plan for me even though I might not always understand or even at times follow the path he would desire for me live. I now that my father in heaven loves me very much just as my own parents do and I delight in making good choices that make myself and them happy. I can not deny the truth that I know and feel that families are to be together forever. The gospel of Jesus Christ explains how I can be with my family both now and in the hereafter. I am a Mormon because I am working towards becoming completely converted to Christ. I'm a Mormon because I want to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by sharing the truthfulness of the gospel with others. Being on a mission is more than a full time job but the rewards are worth far more than anything someone could pay me. Every day, I look for opportunities to serve. I keep the commandments. I don't always know the reason behind why the Lord has asked me to do what I do but I trust in my God that he won't lead my astray. I go to church every Sunday where I am able to talk of things of the Spirit and learn and grow in my faith in Christ. Guiding others and inviting others to come unto Christ is a two way blessing. As I help others become converted to Christ so too do I become more converted. As a result, I recognize God's endless blessings more in my life. I pray to recognize the blessings of God and I write down the desires of my heart. I know that I have received answers from my God when I can go back and see the results of my prayers. I strive to love as Christ does.
