Hi I'm Caitlyn

I was raised by my mother in Kentucky. I love to be outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am currently 20 years old and just finished my third semester of school in college getting a degree in Social Work. I recently returned home from my mission serving in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission. That was an amazing experience in my life. I was raised by my mother and my father passed away when I was 13. I have an older brother and an older sister. My 3 favorite things: being outdoors, sub sandwiches, and my dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I haven't always had a strong testimony but through events of my life and different trials that have brought me to God, I am now fully positive the the Church is true. There is no other way to live this life than with the knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because this is the only way I can truly be happy. Our Savior truly loves us all so much. He gave His life for us so that we may become better. It is reassuring to know that when I make silly mistakes I can be forgiven because the Savior understands our weaknesses. I also love knowing that when I am going through something hard, I can look toward Christ for help because he truly knows what my pain feels like. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know that Thomas S Monson is our living prophet on earth today who leads and guides Christ's church. I am so thankful for my Savior and for the love He gives me. This church is true and I love the gospel and the blessing it brings me.

How I live my faith

Growing up it wasn't always the easiest thing to live the commandments and do the right thing because I was the only member in my whole school and I was often alone when it came to standing up for what I believed in. When confronted with temptation it was difficult to do what was right, but I found strength in the Lord and the the blessings that I received from doing what was asked of me. I made good friends who didn't pressure me to do bad things and I lived my religion with a proud smile. I am from an area where there aren't a lot of members so my branch is like my second family. We are all very close and its easy to get involved because I truly love everyone there. I currently work with the young children and I sing songs with them. We sing songs to uplift them and allow them to feel the spirit. The songs are centered around the teachings of the gospel and the life of Christ. It is a pleasure to work the rising generation of the church and be able to see the sweet spirits that they have. Music truly is a tool that can allow them to learn better and the feel the love God has for each of them.
