Hi I'm Brighton

I grew up in California. I love my family and I love to go to the beach. I just finished my first year at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest sibling out of my family of three girls. I just finished my first year at BYU and I am studying psychology with the hope of becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a very strong bond with my family and I love them very much. I love music; I play the violin and the ukulele.I love to swim, surf, boogie board, pretty much anything that has to do with water! I love to help people by giving them advice when they need help. I worked as a cashier at a local grocery store during my junior and senior year of high school. I am going to serve a mission in Arequipa, Peru! I am so excited to serve the people and to dedicate 18 months of my life to the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been Mormon my whole life. As I have gotten older and moved out of my parents house off to college, I've had to rely on what I knew to be true. I have a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ because of how it has blessed my life and the lives of others. Every day I see countless blessings because I have chosen to live righteously. I continue to be Mormon because it makes me happy! This gospel helps me overcome obstacles and trials because it gives me a better perspective that there is more to this life after death and that I have a Heavenly Father and a brother Jesus Christ who love me more than I can comprehend.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others around me. I treat people with kindness and charity just like how Christ did. I definitely rely on the Lord through prayer and scripture study because I know that He can help me with big decisions in my life and even the small obstacles I encounter each day. I look for ways to serve others by keeping my eyes open for opportunities that come my way. I also teach others in classes on Sunday to share my testimony and inspire hope for others.
