Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in Utah in the United States. I love to do art in many forms. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to draw with pencil, pen, or even chalk. I will draw whatever comes to my mind or even from dreams I have had the previous night. I plan on going to college after my mission to become an animator. I also love to crochet and experiment with different patterns. I try to avoid driving and walk instead because 1) driving scares me a bit and 2) walks provide the best stress reliever as well as some thinking time. Chocolate is amazing!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, my parents would always drop us off at church, but they never went themselves. I was about 8 when I wanted to know for myself if the Book of Mormon is true, so I decided to try and read it. It was difficult at first since I couldn't read beyond the first chapter in Nephi, but there was something that I couldn't deny that Nephi said: "I... having been born of goodly parents...". This very first verse that I read helped me know it is true because I, too, have been born of goodly parents, parents who love me for being me and will never leave me to fend for myself, parents who are not only there to teach and guide me, but also to be my friend. With that knowledge, I wanted to know more. It was of course difficult because my family never really had a get together to study or read the scriptures, but I decided to try and read the Book of Mormon by myself. It took a while, but I finally finished it, after much trial and error, in 10 years. After that tremendous obstacle, I know that the Book of Mormon has been written by the ancients and is another testament of Jesus Christ and provides answers to many of our questions today. I know that Jesus lives and that he conquered death so that we may live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that He is my brother, my older brother who will always love me and will stand at my side just as I will try to stand by Him. I love my Savior and my testimony for without them, I would not be who I am today.

How I live my faith

I am now a missionary serving in the Philippines. I continue to search for my Heavenly Father's guidance so that I may be able to invite others to come unto Christ and know that His Gospel has been restored today. I am doing all I can to keep the Spirit with me by praying to my Father in Heaven for help and thanking Him for my trials, reading my scriptures to find answers to my and my investigators questions and concerns, also I go to church to strengthen my testimony in knowing this Church is true and that we can all be with our Father in Heaven forever as long as I repent and strive to do better.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jennifer
To me, a testimony is a belief that someone receives with the companionship of the Holy Ghost, or in other words, as we do our part to know gospel truths, the Holy Spirit will witness the truthfulness that we are learning and studying about. Show more Show less
