Hi I'm Mikel

I am a hairstylist, a laugher, a listener, a lover of cupcakes, Disney, & peaches. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and a student at Utah State University. Im currently serving a full-time mission in Georgia and wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I believe everything needs a touch of glitter and a happy ending. I know that through faith, miracles can and will happen every day. I'm the oldest of six kids and, my goodness, I love my family so much. I couldn't ask for a better family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to have been born in the church and feel so blessed. The gospel brings me so much happiness knowing that I have a loving Father in Heaven who watches over me. It brings me peace knowing that I am able to communicate with Him through sincere prayer and diligent scripture study. I love having the knowledge that I will be able to live with my heavenly parents again if I remain faithful to the commandments which we have been given. I know that Joseph Smith restored the only true gospel on this earth for us today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that through studying the words we will become closer to our Savior and we will feel the strength and power that it gives us. I know that through our trials we learn and grow. I know that if we follow our Savior's example we, too, will become perfect someday. He is our greatest friend, supporter, and teacher. Because of the joy it's brought me, I know the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I live everyday trying to emulate the light of Christ though the way I dress, speak, and act. I try to live in a way that others can come to feel of Heavenly Fathers love for them when they are around me. Currently I am serving a mission in Georgia and teaching everyone around me more about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. I have learned from my experiences on my mission that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real. It has the ability to change anybody and everybody. Although I am not perfect I am grateful that the gospel is not about perfection, it's about progression. I try my best to use Jesus Christ's sacrifice in my life and repent daily. This is where I come to find the strength and courage to stand up for what I believe and know to be true in a confused word and try to do better at becoming like my Savior each day.
