Hi I'm Ryan Barr

I grew up in Colorado and will be serving in the Ghana Accra West mission, in Africa on July 23, 2015. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Senior in High School and am currently about to graduate and plan to go on my mission and then attend BYU-Idaho or Utah State University. I love playing basketball and running track, although I enjoy just about anything involving sports or competition.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have grew up living the gospel my whole life and absolutely love it. I grew up in a rough city in Colorado where there were a lot of bad influences I had let be around me. I eventually started to make bad decisions and wanted a way out because I realized these things did not truly make me happy. After moving to Idaho and attending Sugar Salem High School, I found a place where it is easier to make the right decisions and be a member of the church and live faithfully. I am so glad that I have the knowledge of the gospel in my life, and want to bring it to other people throughout the world as well. I will go on my mission to Ghana, Africa on July 23, 2015.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing a variety of things throughout the year. I have done volunteer work at the San Luis Care Center for several years now, helping serve the residents and their families a dinner for Christmas and Thanksgiving every year. I have been deacons president, teachers president, and 1st assistance in the priests quorum. I have maximized my callings when I have had them and helped serve the people of the church. I organize and help with service projects very often. I love living the gospel and helping other people. I know how much joy it brings to them and I want to help everyone feel the blessings of service.
