Hi I'm Hope Dillree

I grew up in Wyoming. I am in nursing school. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a mom and dad who have raised me to be pretty well balanced. Then, I have 3 brothers. I am the only girl! I can honestly say that I enjoy a wide variety of things in life. Growing up I spent a lot of time playing sports with my brothers, and as a family we have always spent time outdoors. I love to camp, hike, and fish. And my favorite sports are basketball, volleyball, and soccer. I played high school sports all throughout growing up, and was always active in the church. Another one of my passions is art. I absolutely love pottery. It is so fun to throw a big chunk of clay onto a wheel, and turn it into an awesome plate or bowl. My favorite subjects in school were probably English and Science. I really like to read stories and learn about the human body. After I graduated high school I started going to school at BYU. I got my associates of science, and I am currently applying for nursing schools. But during this time.. I decided to take a little break. And that is so I can be a Sister Missionary for the church!!!! I am so excited. I am looking forward to making new friends and talking to new people. I am very friendly and open to conversation. Remember God loves you. And find joy in this journey of life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for several reasons. I want to live with my family for forever, and I know that the only way that I can do this is in the gospel. I love the joy the gospel brings into my life, and the great feelings I get by becoming more like Christ everyday. Another reason why I am a member of the church is it gives my life purpose. I don't have to ask questions of why I am here, and what should I do. I know why I am here, and I know that my Father in Heaven knows me by name, and loves me! And the last major reason why I am a member of the church is the relationship it allows me to have with others in the community. There are so many dear friends that are in the ward. We comfort each other, and I feel like they are always there to help out in times of need. And in return we offer service to everyone around us. All of those things bring us closer together, and closer to God. I love this gospel, I love my Savior, and I know I will see Him again!

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways I live my faith is in my daily life routines. It is so important to pray and have a conversation with my Father in Heaven. Taking the time to talk with Him shows my desire to grow and be close to him. Daily scripture study shows my willingness to learn and be an instrument in the Lord's hands. But, prayer and scripture study are just the foundation. I think the biggest way to demonstrate faith is to ACT. By behaving the way that Christ did, I am showing my faith. By taking opportunities to serve others and share the gospel I am shutting out fear, and giving room to faith. Every day, by setting goals, and striving to be personally better I am moving forward, and gaining more and more faith.
