Hi I'm Joan

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. My career was being a wife and mother of four. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widow with four children, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. I play the piano and organ, like to knit and crochet, camp and hike.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon brings me joy. I look forward to attending church every Sunday for the spiritual lift it gives me. If I miss a week it seems life is harder. I know Christ is our Savior and atoned for our sins. I feel his love for me every day. Through our temple ordinances I know I will be with my husband again and that brings me peace and comfort. Hard things are easier with the knowledge that God loves me and knows me. I LOVE being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I have taught the youth in church, played the piano in our women's organization and substituted on the organ when needed for church or funerals. I have been the president of our women's organization and our girl's youth program. My husband and I worked at the Utah State Prison in the Family History program for 3 years. The men we worked with appreciated us and were good to us. We had some very spiritual experiences there. We have been involved with the Chamber of Commerce and Optimist Club in our community.
