Hi I'm Emily

I like running and biking. I enjoy math. I love to play the piano. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been playing the piano for over ten years, but still can't "play by ear". I play any type of music--ragtime, classical, hymns, and everything else in between. I love math, and dislike english/language arts. I love to run long distances, because I'm not good at sprinting! Marathons are my thing, 26.2 miles! I also enjoy road biking. I am now attending college to become a math teacher. I work for my dad on the farm moving sprinklers every day in the summer (raising hay/alfalfa).

Why I am a Mormon

When I have the spirit with me I feel safe. When I visited old Nauvoo the spirit was with me and I knew that the things being taught were true. But when I went to the buildings owned by a different religion the spirit left and I felt alone and afraid. This experience helped me know that this church is true. I feel safe and happy when I have the spirit with me. Families can be together forever! I feel joy when I hear this statement, and I know it is true. I have an aunt who died from cancer, because our families are sealed together I know that I will be able to see my aunt again!

How I live my faith

Jesus said love everyone, treat them kindly too, and fill your heart with love. I attend a Singles Ward. Each week someone new comes! I try to make them feel welcome by doing what Jesus taught us to do. I do my best to fulfill my callings. Each night before I go to bed I study my scriptures trying to find answers that I need to my questions. I never lower my standards. I have participated in a few pageants and I always have modest clothing when participating in them.
