Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in New England. I'm a BYU graduate. I love my family, life, learning and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am family oriented and very interested in my family history. I have a distant cousin who flew on one of the Apollo Missions and walked on the moon. I am a graduate of BYU and a dental and medical assisting school. One of my loves is playing the piano and I have had the opportunity to teach many students. For several years, I was an engineering department administrator for a major oil company. I love people, music, travel, art and history.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child, my mother was seeking truth and as a result I attended junior Sunday School in many different religions. Each religion spoke of Jesus and I colored pictures of him. I knew that He must be important and I wanted to know who he was. My family was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by the missionaries. As the missionaries taught my family about Jesus and His Church I had a very warm and comforting feeling. It was as if a warm blanket was wrapped around me and I loved that feeling. My family embraced the gospel and I was baptized when I was nine years old. That feeling has continued to increase throughout my life. I have come to know that Jesus is my Savior and that He loves me. I have a strong testimony the He has restored His church to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith and that Jesus stands at its head. I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has given me so much joy, direction and purpose in my life. I cannot imagine my life without it. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have participated in many church service projects which helped members of the Church and community. My service in the Church includes teacher and leader in the women's and youth organizations. I have also served as a local missionary and have recently been called to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church. It has been a great experience to assist the missionary effort by coordinating baptisms. Much of my joy comes from seeing others change and improve their lives as they embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ.
