Hi I'm Isabel

I am a Carolina girl, I have a passion for singing and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of a family of 6, currently living with 5 younger crazy bundles of joy. I love the Spanish language and culture. I also love to sing, all types of music, its always been something that I have enjoyed since I was little girl. In my free time, I love laughing and spending time with family and friends. Laughing is my favorite pastime. I could talk for hours if people were to let me. I have been called to serve a mission recently and I am ecstatic to explore, teach, share, love, serve and everything in between for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing that makes me happier than the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything about Jesus Christ and His Church are perfect and whole. It makes sense, it draws people in because it makes people feel the Spirit, it makes them feel good. For me, there are many many reasons why I am Mormon but I would have to say most importantly the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-a Day Saints makes me happy because I know that we have a plan and a purpose on this Earth. We aren't just walking around aimlessly finding what our real purpose is. We have that purpose to return back to our Heavenly Father, to gain knowledge of Him and of the principles of eternity. We are here to love, serve, help and be our divine selves that God has created us to be. I know that to be true and this knowledge helps me go on everyday when life gets so so tough. Knowing that there is something SO much bigger than this is comforting. This is truly not the end. We have forever to live for.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through love and serving my fellow man. One of the best ways I have gotten to do that is through church callings or certain responsibilities given in the church. My favorite part of church would have to be the music! The hymns we sing in our meetings brings the spirit and reverence, so that everyone can prepare to receive that spritual truth and revelation. I have served in many areas in which I direct or teach music to the children and it is so special hearing their sweet, tender hearts sing the simple truths of the gospel. I also am currently serving the youth in teaching our early morning seminary class, where we discuss and study the scriptures and its teachings. It is such a unique experience rising up early to study the words of the ancient prophets that relate to us in these latter days. It is truly a blessing to be able to serve in various callings in the church and I am so grateful to be able to love, help and to strive to live like Christ in everything I do.
