Hi I'm Sam Boggess

I'm from North Carolina. I attend BYU. I love Duke basketball. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am serving a mission in the California Irvine Mission. I'm excited to be serving the Lord. I am 6'5" but don't play basketball, regardless of how convinced people are that I do. I've been a huge Duke fan since moving to North Carolina at age 5. I love playing sports and exploring the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Although there are many reasons why I am a Mormon, here are my top three: Living Prophet Today I know that Heavenly Father loves all His children. Because of this I am grateful that His blesses His children today, like in days of old, with a prophet to help us return to Him. Eternal Families Through marriage in our temples we can be with our families forever. This is huge for me. I love my family and I want to be able to see them again. I find peace knowing that I can see loved ones again even after they have passed away. Book of Mormon I love the Bible and it is the word of God. I also love the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. Having both the Bible and the Book of Mormon brings me closer to Christ and His Atonement.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by seeking out ways to help other people. I have found ways to serve through church events as well as events in the community and through school service programs. Serving others is so important to me because when I help others with their challenges it puts my own challenges and shortcomings into perspective. Through service I grow greater love for other people and for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
