Hi I'm Emma Martinez

I'm a primary teacher. I'm a cosmetologist. I'm a blogger. & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During high school I went to cosmetology school and received my license the fall after graduation. I love my job and interacting with new people every day. Hair is my life! I also have an obsession with style and decor so I decided to start my own blog. I love helping people out and making others feel beautiful with something as simple as a haircut or outfit combination. I'm the oldest of 4 girls and I'm currently preparing to serve a mission.I have been called to serve a mission in Salem, Oregon and I report to the Provo MTC September 16th. The reason I chose to serve a mission is to let every person know there is a Heavenly Father who loves them. I teach the cutest 5-6 year olds ever in primary and learn something new every week from the simple lessons I prepare for them. I grew up in the church and love this gospel with my whole heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have fallen in love with this church. The gospel has lead me my entire life and made me who I am today. It provides me with happiness, comfort, love, and advice. I grew up in the church but I have a conversion story. When you keep getting hit with trial after trial and think there is no where to turn you are wrong. No one understands us more than our loving Heavenly Father. He is always there for you. He loves you. & He knows you. I couldn't quite understand why some things were important such as modesty, or paying tithing (10% from a 80$ paycheck) But I soon learned that I needed to gain my own personal testimony for each and every detail about this church. And I'm still working towards that! Your testimony can never stop growing. It's a wonderful feeling to know for sure and believe that some things in life are true. And what teachers, bishops, parents, prophets, and other church figures testify are true. I am a Mormon because of the eternal promise of families being together forever. Because I love the Book of Mormon and know it is true. I am a Mormon because I love the peace it brings to me and the life I have. I owe it all to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I have the opportunity to serve in the calling as a teacher to the 5-6 year olds class. They are so sweet and pure, I love being around them. I live my faith by being a missionary here at home before the real deal comes. I go out with the sister missionaries serving in my ward to teach, I serve others when I have the chance, I encourage others to go to LDS activities such as; Temple lights, Easter Pageant, LDS movies, etc. I live my faith by being an example. From my younger sisters, to youth my age, or to coworkers in the salon. I just love sharing the gospel! "Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
