Hi I'm Alena

I'm a Mormon, born and raised in Utah. I'm going to serve a mission in Singapore.

About Me

I just finished my associates degree. I'm going into Special Ed because I love being around children with special needs. I also love serving others. I am getting ready to serve a mission in Singapore, which I am super excited about. I also love doing things outside, like camping and boating. I also love bowling and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There are many reasons I continue as a part of this church. A lot of it is because being a part of this church gives me so much happiness. I love how family oriented this church is. Knowing I can be with my family even after death gives me so much comfort and joy. I also love this church because of the Book of Mormon. I have read that book so many times and every time I get a peaceful and warm feeling from the Holy Ghost that teaches me that the book is true and testifies of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me and everyone else in this world. He knows each of us individually and can help us through all of our needs. Through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I can find peace and comfort through all my trials. I can also find answers to any questions I might have. I love being a member of the LDS church. It gives my life guidance and brings me so much joy and comfort.

How I live my faith

I have done many different things to participate in my church. The biggest one would be service. I love serving other people by helping with whatever they need help with. This could be as simple as making friends with other people. As a soon-to-be missionary, I am getting ready to travel to another part of the world to teach other people about my faith.
