Hi I'm McKay

I'm a musician, I love doing anything that involves being outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music has been a huge part of my life. I love listening to music and playing the drums. Currently serving as a missionary in Alberta, Canada. I love being outdoors and enjoy climbing, hiking, and skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I had always grown up a member of the church, my testimony wasn't truly found until much later. When I truly gained a testimony was at the Gilbert Arizona Temple Cultural Celebration. I felt the Spirit so strongly during the Celebration and gained a stronger testimony and the desire to serve a mission following that experience. I have a testimony of the Atonement and how it blesses the lives of all those who come unto the Father and partake of the Atonement to cleanse them of their sins. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I'm grateful for him and for what he endured to bring the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ back to this earth in its fullness. I also have a huge testimony of the blessings of the temple, and I know that families can be forever because of them.

How I live my faith

For the past few years I've been a part of the church in a few different positions. I've helped organize different activities for youth and have also had the opportunity to direct music as my calling in the church as well. I also had the great privilege of working in the temple, which was an incredible experience. It's always been great to involve music in church because it brings out my inner passion and invites the Spirit in at the same time.
