Hi I'm Diane

I grew up in a small town in Utah. I was very excited to be baptized when I was 8 years old. My goal to be married in the temple.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Utah with 1 brother and 5 sisters. I have wonderful parents who raised us in a good home. I had an excellent family life. We went to church on Sundays, as a family most of the time, and loved having our mother at home. She did not work outside the home except for her callings in the church. I'm 67 years old and married to a fantastic husband who loves to laugh and have fun. Together we have 6 children whom I love dearly. We also went to church together as a family before they grew up and left our home. Currently, we have 16 grandchildren and love each one of them. It is so much fun getting together as family. We try to set a good example for all of them. I love doing family history, gardening, pinterest, and spending time with my husband and family. I have worked with the special needs students in elementary and middle school, a job I loved just watching and helping those sweet, innocent, little children grow and learn in there own special ways. I worked as a middle school librarian also, which was an exciting and fun job too. Those middle school kids could always make you laugh and smile. I am now retired and it is very enjoyable doing your own things wherever and whenever you want. However, it's now time to get serious again, so we are preparing to go on a mission, as a senior couple, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I can still remember how excited I was to be baptized when I turned 8 years old. I drove my poor mother crazy, asking her everyday if it was time to be baptized. Finally, the day arrived and what a special day it was for me. I've always tried to do what is right. If I made wrong choices, Heavenly Father always placed somebody in my life to remind me to make better ones. I admit, I made a few wrong choices at times and today, I am so thankful that the Lord has given us repentance so that we can repent and move onward again. I was surrounded by good friends growing up and mostly dated LDS young men. I always knew I wanted to be married in the temple for time and all eternity. Did I always believe in the church? Sometimes I had my doubts. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the gospel in my life. Satan is always trying to put uncertainty and misgivings in your mind but, by keeping the commandments and praying for guidance, I was able to overcome those doubts, received many blessings and gained a strong testimony. I now know for certain, that the Gospel is true, the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored with Priesthood authority and that God knows me, loves me, and is watching over me! Looking back on my life, I now recognize that I have received many choice blessings and to this day He continues to bless and comfort me. I am glad to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I pray always that I may be a good example to those that I come in contact with. I strive especially to set a good example for my family. It is very important to attend church every Sunday, to take the sacrament and to go to my other meetings. I have the privilege to teach the 6-year-old children in primary. They are sweet little spirits. I have also worked in the youth programs, worked in our women organization, and taught many different ages. We were also in charge of putting together activities for our ward. I have also worked in family history and indexing. Visiting Teaching is a very important part of being a member of the church. You bond with those you visit, take care of them when the need arises, and most of all love them. When we strive to do our duty, by following Jesus Christ and keeping His commandments, we grow spiritually strong. Sometimes we slip and do not follow the spiritual prompting we receive, but the nice thing is we can always repent, make better choices and grow stronger spiritually again. I am so grateful for a kind and loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.
