Hi I'm Savannah

I am an older sister, a pianist, a student, a volleyball player, a book lover, and most importantly a disciple of Christ.

About Me

I am a college student and I am studying the prerequisites for the nursing program. I have received a mission call to serve in Cusco, Peru!!! I have been working on my spanish: estoy muy emocionada de servir una mision. I have a very strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the LDS church. I love participating in sports and watching sports, especially volleyball. I love spending time with my family, and I love them very much. I am so thankful for the sacrifices my parents make for our family, and for the unity we have. I enjoy playing the piano and the violin, and I want to learn how to play the organ. I love learning new things and developing my talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I love everything that our church teaches. I especially love that we are taught about the love of God. I can feel so much love from the teachings, and the Holy Ghost always testifies to me of the truthfulness of this church. I cannot express how thankful I am for the gospel in my life, it has blessed me so much, and my testimony is so important to me. I am a Mormon because I know for myself that this church is true. I know it with all my heart. I have read the Book of Mormon, and prayed to ask God if it is true. Several times, I have received a witness that the Book of Mormon is true. I am a Mormon because I feel good living a life that brings me closer to the Savior. I am a Mormon because I want to be eternally sealed to my family. I am a Mormon for many reasons, but ultimately it is because this church is the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I think it's really important to truly worship by living the things that I believe. So, I am very active in my church. I love going visiting teaching, and I try to be a member missionary as much as possible. I think a big part of living my faith is caring for other people, and this can be accomplished through visiting teaching and missionary work. When I was baptized, I took a covenant to help bear others' burdens, and I try to do that as much as possible. I also try to live my life to be worthy to partake of the sacrament every week. Attending my church meetings is a highlight of my week, and I always look forward to the wonderful spirit I feel at church. Not only do I focus on attending church, I apply the things that I learn at church in my life. I keep the commandments and as our doctrine teaches, I am always striving to become more perfect, and to come closer to the Savior.
