Hi I'm Madison

I grew up in a small ranch town in Oregon. My life-long dream is to become a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Madison and I am 19. I just finished my freshman year at Brigham Young University Hawaii and am currently working in Oregon until I depart on my church mission. I am always looking for new ways to make my time worthwhile and to stay productive. Whether it be while working hard or visiting with a friend, I enjoy finding happiness in all things. I even love to run!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised Mormon, I have my own conversion story. Growing up I can't remember NOT having faith or NOT believing the church was true, but I can recall exact times when my testimony of a certain aspect of the gospel was solidified into a pure knowledge. I KNOW that God lives because I have felt his divine love for me, just me. I KNOW that about 2000 years ago Jesus Christ suffered and atoned for my sins because I have felt his ability to change me into a better person. I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because of the clarity it brought to my mind while reading it cover to cover in less than two days. As my faith grows, my knowledge, confidence, and desire to learn more also grows. The Holy Ghost gives me the power to apply the principles I learn so that I may become more Christ-like. Because of the His incredibly infinite love for me and my humble love for Him, I am driven to do what it takes to dwell with my Father in Heaven and also my loving brother Jesus Christ once again.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a period of eighteen months in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Deciding to serve was entirely my choice and I am ecstatic to serve. During my mission, I will be inviting others, often strangers, to come unto Christ to be perfected in Him. I will inform them of their self-worth as a child of our Heavenly Father and as my brother or sister. I do not hold any callings in my current church ward due to my soon departure, but in the past I have led class presidencies, attended early morning seminary (church school), and worked on family history (genealogy).
