Hi I'm Ashlyn

I am from Arizona. I am currently a college student trying to figure out my future and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student. While I cannot say that I always love waking up to go to class, I do love learning new things. I love watching sports, playing with makeup, and spending time with family. My true passion is working with special needs kids. It is this passion that drives me to study Special Education. Though I love the college atmosphere, I am currently putting my education on hold, for 18 months, to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing in this world has brought me more happiness than this Gospel. This church provides the pathway for establishing a relationship with God the Father and the Savior Jesus Christ. The Savior has the power to erase loneliness, anger, and discouragement and replace those feelings with peace. I know that no matter what we are facing our Father in Heaven can get us through it. I know afflictions will come but I also know that no affliction has the power to destroy us. Heavenly Father is always there. This church has brought a light to my life. It has brought my family closer and has allowed us to understand who we are and our purposes' here on Earth. It has changed my life and it has the power to change all lives. I am a Mormon because I love this church and I see each and every day the blessings that it brings to all.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day as I strive to become like the Savior Jesus Christ. I avoid vulgar language, movies, and music. Each Sunday, I teach about the Savior Jesus Christ to a class full of my peers. For the next 18 months, I will live my faith through my service as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During this service, I will share my faith with others in addition to serving in the community.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Ashlyn
Mormon Missionaries proselyte because they want to share with others the great joy they have received through being a member of the church. There is no reward, competition or quota for sharing the gospel. Simply, the missionaries want to share a message about Jesus Christ, something we believe changes lives forever. Show more Show less
