Hi I'm Rejoice De la Cruz

I grew up in the Philippines. I graduated from the oldest pontifical and royal Catholic university in Asia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family. I love my family and those friends who inspire me to be better. I studied Food Technology. I always enjoy learning and teaching what I've learned to the youth. I enjoy adventures and I love to travel. I love nature and people. I bake cookies and muffins. Sometimes, I also devote my time in serving others. I become involved in creating Do-it-Yourself crafts for my family and others. During my past time, I enjoy writing in my journal, watercolor artworks, reading good books, listening to good music and playing the guitar or ukulele. I also enjoy watching movies and most especially, the documentary films. I love to learn home-making with my mother, e.g. cooking meals, designing the walls of our home and planting. Before proceeding to practice my profession as a Food Technologist and feed the hungry tummies of the world, I would like to serve and feed the souls of those that are hungry with the words of our Heavenly Father and to invite others to come unto Christ. I am called to serve as a full-time missionary in New Zealand Auckland Mission, Mandarin Chinese speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before they met each other. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the House of the Lord, the temple. At the age of 8, the age of accountability, I was baptized and confirmed as a member of His church. In-line with this saving ordinance, I made a covenant with my Heavenly Father to take His name, always remember Him, keep His commandments and endure to the end. I have experienced a lot of ups and downs in life. It is like trekking to the most beautiful mountain you ever dreamed of and suddenly at the middle of it, you began losing hope to reach its peak, because of the unnecessary movement of nature. The clouds moved so fast and brought some rain. But, I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost in my life, for it always remind me never to waver. When we really listen earnestly to the still small voice of the Holy Ghost, we will never fail. I choose to be happy and remain in the Lord's side. I know that the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon come together hand in hand as words of the Lord. I testify that The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. As I am growing up in the church, I see the hands of the Lord guiding me and He is an essential light in my life. He is always mindful of us. He knows each one of us and He knows what we need in order for us to become better and later on, be our best selves as children of God. He wants us to come back to His presence someday. I know that the Plan of Salvation is the Lord's Plan for the happiness of His children. I know that these things are true and I want to give back everything the Lord has done for me through serving Him and represent His name. To leave my family for a long time may sound melancholic for you, but the purpose of missionary work is to help others come unto Christ and be baptized so that they can be with their families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by saying my prayers each day, reading the scriptures and applying the things which the Savior taught. As a disciple of Christ, I strive each day to become like Him. I surround myself with wonderful people who would never make me compromise my standards. I am currently serving as a Sunday school teacher for the youth ages 12 and 13. Through this calling, my faith was also strengthened and I also develop my Christ-like attributes. As I serve others, which is one way we can show our faith in Him, I feel the Saviors love for me. And I am at peace, knowing that I am His instrument to whom I can express His love and care for His children.
