Hi I'm Marissa

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the oldest of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four children. I am currently a college student, but am taking a break to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada, Calgary mission. I love music and have been in school choir (singing alto) and band (playing flute and/or piccolo) since seventh grade. I love hiking, biking, and playing frisbee, really anything outside in warm weather with those I love. I love playing games and just spending time with my loved ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this church, I love the people I meet from it, and I love my Savior and Father. I love how I can become a better person by following the guidelines we have in this church. I love the many blessings I have received by being a member. I love being in the temple. I have so had many experiences that have proved that this church is true. I want these blessings my entire life, and am so grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to be my best self, following the teachings from my Savior. I attend my church meetings, and usually attend my ward choir practices. I read from the scriptures and pray to my Father every day. I go with my assigned companion to visit the two other young women we are assigned to every month, to see how they are doing, and share words of encouragement and let them know we are here to help if they need it. I also attend one of our many temples and do there nearly every week at least once.
